Live from Cesana
Published by A. J. Stitch February 6th, 2006 in Torino 2006I arrived in Torino last saturday night. After meeting up with Dr. Owens, I went to get my transportation to Cesana (the mountains, 2 hours away from Torino). My luck, the last bus left fifteen minutes before I arrived. But this Italian angel was looking out for me; he ordered my own bus to drive me up. My own bus! This guy was a life saver.
So, I’ve been working for two days now with a Norwegian crew. The first production meeting was in Norwegian, so I had no idea what was going on. But we Asburians are professionals, Scott Rambo and I figured out who to talk to and got right to work shoveling snow (pretty glorious, aey?) Today at work, I stood five feet from rushing bullets of biathalon athletes. Scariest experience of my trip (and that’s saying a lot seeing as I stayed in a hostel that was an exact replica of the one in “The Shining”). I hope my Mom doesn’t read this, she’s going to freak out. DON’T WORRY MOM, WE WERE BEHIND A BULLET PROOF WALL.
