Day two from Torino

Yesterday there was a practice run. Non-production staff at the veune made up the teams, and we were able to try out the work we will do for the remainder of our stay. We get to hide behind signs and feed our camera men cable. The up side of this job is that my face will most likely be on TV, in what country I don’t know, but it will be there.

In the curling venue there are four games going on at the same time, this makes for a very crowded situation. There are eight teams (four members each), eight camera men, eight utlities, and a lot of judges running around in the same area all the time. Add to this rocks, brooms, and tripods and you have an action filled event. Who would have thought curling was so packed full of excitement?

I go in at 17:00 today and work until 23:00. Even though it is late, it gave me a chance to get into Torino this morning, and i will have the same priveledge the next few mornings. It’s about a 45min train ride here, and it sure beats sitting in my apartment watching itailian television.

That’s about all i have to say right now because this morning has been rather uneventful. I’ll be heading back to Pinerolo in a few minutes so i can make it to the venue before i have to start work. I plan on writing more tomorrow, maybe that will be more exciting.
